Lake City Honda, the authorized dealers of Honda Scooters & Motorcycles India Ltd, has introduced a new ‘state of the art’ service station at Gulab Bagh road. Unlike the former workshop adjoining the Lake City Honda showroom at Town Hall Road, the new workshop is well defined, hi-tech and spacious.

The workshop was started a month back on December 14, however diminutive upgrading is still under process.

The area of 9000 sq.ft is well defined in several separate working slots and departments to offer quality service and customer satisfaction, including various segments installed for staff to work efficiently.

Varun Murdia, Director of Murdia Group of Companies and Lake City Honda, says “We have moved our service station to this new high-end location which is planned in order to increase our working capacity and more importantly to offer quality service to our customers.”

The building is divided into three core working areas including basement, first floor and second floor; the operational cycle of serving a vehicle is further alienated in 5 basic steps which are: Job open, Wash, Repair, Polishing and Inspection followed by final handover of the vehicle to the customer, explains Varun.

Bhavesh Bomb, Works Manager of the workshop informed on how well each department was connected to each other. “Every desk has a phone and LAN connection for better co-ordination; we have different areas for washing, parking, reception, guest lobby, spare parts section, etc.”

He also told UT that “repair work is done through pneumatic tools and a special system is used to collect used oil from the first floor through a barrel installed through to the basement.”

Another interesting aspect of the Lake City Honda Workshop is their effective exhaust system that sweeps out all smoke from the internal exhaust machines and keep the working area clean.

With more than 15 bays, Honda CBR 250R’s bay is different while rest of the bays are for all gearless scooters and motorcycles. Bhavesh says, “A quick repair bay is set to give fast service for special case vehicles while all accident cases are repaired in basement areas.”

From opening a new job to assigning mechanics to their duties, Bhavesh and his team try their best to create the best of relations between Lake City Honda and their prestigious clientele.
