Mahindra True Blue SUV – TUV300 Launched in Udaipur
TUV300 is the first SUV in India to offer a clutch-less automated manual transmission option.
Mahindra TUV300, the latest in SUV class four wheel from the Mahindra stable was unveiled in Udaipur, simultaneously with a Pan India launch on 10th September at KS Automobiles Pvt Ltd – Authorised Dealer for Mahindra and Mahindra Automotive Sector.
Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari unveiled the vehicle at KS Madri Showroom, in the presence of Sunil Kumar Parihar and Aakash Parihar, Directors at KS Automobiles.
“It is a moment of pride for the entire Mahindra family that we have launched a world class product that is made in India”, said Sunil Kumar. He further shared that the tough looks of the TUV300 that classify it as a True Blue SUV, are inspired by the battle tank design.
Aakash Parihar added that TUV300 has been designed keeping in mind the needs and aspirations of the end user – hence a toughened high strength steel body shell gives the vehicle its toughness. He explained to the large audience that the long wheelbase with short overhangs gives it the true SUV look, whereas the plush interiors with a comfortable seven seater arrangement equipped with all the latest gadgetry gives the feel of luxury SUV.
About the TUV300
TUV300 piggybacks on a tough high strength steel body, founded on battle tank design. It comes equipped with high tech gadgetry, viz. infotainment systems, Bluetooth, USB and AUX Connectivity, a twin pod instrument cluster, static bending headlamps, cushion suspension with anti roll bars, among others.
Available in 7 variants – T4, T4+, T6, T6+,T6+AMT, T8 and T8AMT, one can opt for among the 6 attractive colors, viz. Bold Black, Molten Orange, Majestic Silver, Dynamo Red, Verve Blue and Glacier White.
Naved Khan, GM at KS Automobiles informed that the cost of the vehicle has a value for money USP – its price starting from Rs. 7.14 Lac (Ex-showroom, Udaipur) with the top end model not costing more than Rs. 9.41 Lac (Ex-showroom, Udaipur). All the variants are diesel and Mahindra claims an average of 18.49km pr litre.

Mahindra’s second SUV in the compact segment, TUV300 is built on a new platform coming with an investment of Rs. 1,500 Crore to the principal, which includes a suppliers investment of Rs. 300 Crore.
Anand Mahindra, speaking at the main launch in Pune, expressed opinion that the SUV segment is expected to grow from the existing 23% to 30%.
