Major CSR Push: Hindustan Zinc Inaugurates Key Projects in Kalyanpura
Hindustan Zinc strengthens community infrastructure in Bhilwara district with new school facilities, roads, and sanitation projects under its CSR programme Samadhan
Udaipur, August 20, 2025 — “It is heartening to witness Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to community development. The newly-constructed school facilities and roads in Kalyanpura by the company will directly benefit the local people—especially children and families—by improving education and connectivity.”
These remarks were made by Shahpura MLA Dr Lalaram Bairwa during a programme held at the Kalyanpura Upper Primary School. He added that such efforts demonstrate how industries and communities can progress together.
As part of its CSR initiatives, Hindustan Zinc Limited inaugurated a 650-metre CC road and a prayer shed at the Upper Primary School in Kalyanpura. These projects, launched under the company's CSR programme Samadhan and other social development schemes, aim to enhance the quality of life of local communities.
Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Ram Murari, CEO of the Rampura Agucha Mine Cluster IBU; Mahendra Singh Chauhan, General Secretary of the Rampura Agucha Mines Workers' Union; Satyanarayan Kumawat, Additional Chief Block Education Officer; Shimla Gurjar, Village Sarpanch; social worker Ramlal Gurjar; Abhay Gautam, Deputy Head CSR; Abhimanyu Ranawat, Head Admin and External Relations; Ajay Sharma, Security Head; Altaf Mansuri and the school staff.
On this occasion, Ram Murari emphasised Hindustan Zinc’s dedication to sustainable development, quality education, sanitation, healthcare and livelihood improvement. He said that the newly-inaugurated projects stand as a testament to this commitment.
Prior to these over Rs 1-crore development work, in this same week projects worth around Rs 7 crore were launched in the Agucha region by Asind MLA Jabbar Singh Sankhla. These included the construction of two classrooms, one boys' toilet, one girls' toilet and a prayer shed at Bherukheda-1 School. Additionally, a 630-metre CC road and a new classroom at the primary school in Devpura village, along with 2.5 km of CC road and a bridge in Kotdi village, were inaugurated.
At Rampura Agucha, a community hall, the newly-developed Agucha Square including a bus stand CC road, and three new classrooms at the Agucha Girls' School were also completed under CSR infrastructure projects.
With each initiative, Hindustan Zinc continues to move forward in the direction of holistic community development, addressing education, health, infrastructure, livelihood and environmental needs in an integrated manner.
