A night shelter worth of Rs. 52.40 Lacs will be constructed at Goverdhan Vilas area on Nagar Nigam’s land. Rajasthan Urban Development, Infrastructure and Finance Corporation (RUDIFCO) will fund the project of Nagar Nigam under its CSR.

RUDIFCO’s regional chief Ramsingh Lunawat discussed the project with Commissioner Himmat Singh Barhath. Neeraj Mathur described the project saying that the two-storeyed Night Shelter will be constructed on the sides of the main road with a heritage exterior look.

Attached with parking facility, the shelter house will provide night accommodation and services to the workers coming from outside Udaipur.

Lunawat said that this is the first time initiative of RUDIFCO in Udaipur as a part of the CSR activities of the company. Before this, night shelters were developed in Kota.
