If Delhi Gate is considered to be the center area of some fine veg-restaurants, then count Chetak Circle as the booming place to get the finest in non-vegetarian cuisines. With the addition to the Mughlai genre of food, Mughal Darbar Restaurant started today at Chetak circle, opp HDFC Bank and just above the ‘Zaika’ take-away.
Although there is nothing so special about the newly opened restaurant, Mughal Darbar has an attractive interior with a rock fountain; its menu has 12 non-veg and 10 vegetarian dishes with a special drag on their recipes of Angara and Akhrota which is available in both mutton and chicken.
According to the Head Chef Muhammed Wahid Khan also known as Chandu Bhai from Jawra (MP), the ingredients of Chicken Angara includes tomato soup and the spices are prepared with dry fruits whereas Chicken Akhrota is prepared by walnut.
The restaurant was inaugurated by Ashfaq Hussain, father of Muzaffar Husain, owner of Mughal Darbar.
To extend his good wishes, politician Lal Singh Jhala also visited the restaurant and met its owner Muzaffar.
With its promising menu, the Mughal Darbar also offers Kathiyawadi Biryani, Mutton samosa and Shami Kebabs, said Rizwan Hassan, manager of the restaurant.
It is the 6th eatery at Chetak Circle area after Biryani House (Restaurant / takeaway), Zaika (take-away), Mezaan (take-away), Wings and Rehmaniya. The area is a prime location in the city and also close to several Muslim localities which gives a lead to potential customers.
Not to forget, Berry’s and Kwality restaurant had ruled for decades by serving some unforgettable delicacies.
