Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Indian designer based out of Kolkatta, launched his latest designer collection, “The Udaipur Collection” two days after his birthday. This collection is made out to be a befitting tribute to the season of spring.
The launch was presented on Instagram on 25th February and connoisseurs of fashion describe it as ‘aesthetic poetry“. Sabyasachi has used Pardesi Phool as motifs on georgette Sari further coupling it with floral embroidered blouses, managing to dazzle with the minutest of detail. This collection is said to transform the fiercest looking woman into a dainty lady, with its soft detailing.
Consisting of both, womanswear as well as menswear, the collection features Floral Motifs, Mosaic borders on Lehengas and Banarasi skirts (Ghagraas). The Udaipur Collection ‘Sheesh Mahal‘ line has richer and more ornate embellishments. Lehengas in jade green and violet colour are also a part of the wedding collection.
For those needing quick information on Sabyasachi Mukherjee, he is a graduate of NIFT and St Xavier’s Kolkatta and the youngest member of the Board at National Museum of Indian Cinema. He has designed costumes for Bollywood movies such as English Vinglish, Laga Chunari mein Daag, Guzarish, Baabul and Raavan
