Fasal Amrit, developed by the three young men of Mewar, is most effective in areas like Rajasthan where there is water scarcity
Udaipur, December 11, 2024 - A start-up from Udaipur came in for particular praise from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit yesterday. EF Polymer, developed by Narayan Lal Gurjar from Rajsamand and Jaipur’s Puran Singh Rajput and Ankit Jain, was recently featured on the cover of Forbes Magazine, India, and recognised as the most innovative tech startup in the Asia-Pacific region.
After much research, the three young men from Mewar have developed Fasal Amrit, a bio-based soil amendment made from fruit peel biowaste. As per a research published in scientific journal MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute), the organic super absorbent polymerhelps retain water in the soil, reduces erosion and lowers water requirements by 40%. Additionally, the use of 20% less fertiliser increases crop yield by 15%.
Fasal Amrit is effective in areas like Rajasthan, which face water scarcity, as well as in regions with heavy rainfall.
Launched in 2018, EF Polymer is now operational in 10 countries such as India, Japan, USA, France, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Ukraine, and Argentina. Thousands of farmers in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra are associated with EF Polymer.
