Rajmahal Bhindar, a Palace turned Heritage Hotel in the Bhindar town near Udaipur, is now collaborating with the Jaipur based Clarks Chain of Hotels.

According to Parthvi Shaktawat, Director, Rajmahal Bhindar, the director of the Clark Group has already visited the palace twice. She also said that the hotel chain plans to make few changes in the palace property as they want to preserve its heritage value.

The 434 year old Raj Mahal Bhindar was the royal palace of Maharaja Shakti Singh of Bhindar, younger brother of Maharana Pratap. He started building the palace in 1578 AD.

The Clarks Group was started 64 years ago in 1949 by Babu Brijpal. They currently have a total of 9 properties around the country, which now includes the Rajmahal Bhindar.

The palace will come under the Clarks Group’s 1589th Chain, a group of 4-star boutique hotels. Thus, Rajmahal Bhindar will now be known as ‘1589 Rajmahal Bhindar.’
