Reliance: 6th best employer in the country
Reliance Communications (RCOM) has been ranked 6th in the 11th edition of Business Today’s ‘Best Companies to Work for in India’ through a survey that the leading business magazine of the country conducted in association with Indicus Consultancy and PeopleStrong. Reliance Communications has been featured as the only telecom company in the list of top 15 employers for the year 2011.

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has been ranked 6th in the 11th edition of Business Today’s ‘Best Companies to Work for in India’ through a survey that the leading business magazine of the country conducted in association with Indicus Consultancy and PeopleStrong. Reliance Communications has been featured as the only telecom company in the list of top 15 employers for the year 2011.
The extensive survey done by Business Today that covered more than 4436 companies, across 323 cities in the country, has resulted in a verdict to put Reliance Communications in the forefront of the telecom sector; as a People Friendly organization with best HR practices and process on many parameters.
Commenting on the verdict, Mr. Rajan Dutta President-Corporate HR, Reliance Communications said, “It is a great honor to be ranked amongst the top 10 companies to work for in India by Business Today magazine and we are rated as the No.1 company to work for in Telecom and Allied Services space. The 11th annual survey was conducted by Business Today Magazine, in association with Indicus Analytics and PeopleStrong wherein they covered more than 6100 respondents across 4436 companies from 323 towns and cities across the country.
In this national survey, 12% of the total respondents were women, while 27% of the respondents were 24 years old or below, 36% accounted for above 30 years old and 60% of the total respondents were sole earners in their families.
