Reliance Jio’s wireline broadband service connect over 5 lakhs premises in the state
Jaipur, August 28 2024: Reliance Jio has made significant strides in advancing digital inclusion across Rajasthan with its JioFiber and JioAirFiber services. According to the latest subscription data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), over 5 lakh premises were connected with JioFiber and JioAirFiber services across the state as of June 30, 2024. This extensive coverage, which spans homes, businesses, and enterprises of all sizes, places Reliance Jio at the forefront of wireline broadband service providers in Rajasthan.
With a wireline market share of approximately 38 per cent, Jio has outpaced all other service providers in the region, becoming the first to reach this remarkable milestone. JioFiber services are now available in all major cities of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Kota, and Jaisalmer.
In a recent move, Reliance Jio introduced the “Jio TV+ 2 in 1 offer” for JioAirFiber and JioFiber subscribers, allowing them to connect two TVs with a single connection. The Jio TV+ app, previously accessible only through the Jio Set-Top Box (STB), is now available for free download on all leading Smart TV operating systems. This app provides access to over 800 Digital TV channels in more than 10 languages and 20 genres, without the need for additional connections or STBs. Users can also access content from over 14 popular OTT apps with a single login.
JioAirFiber, currently available at an entry price of just ₹2,121, includes a three-month subscription with no installation charges, zero security deposit, and devices provided at no extra cost. Users benefit from unlimited data (up to 1 TB), access to over 800 digital channels, and subscriptions to a minimum of 14 OTT apps like Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Jio Cinema Premium, and SonyLiv. Premium apps like Netflix (Basic) and Amazon Prime Lite are also included in specific plans. JioAirFiber plans start at an affordable ₹599 per month.
JioAirFiber, the latest home Wi-Fi and entertainment service from Reliance Jio, has received an overwhelming response across the state. This innovative service has significantly enhanced Rajasthan's digital infrastructure by addressing the challenges of last-mile connectivity, which are often complicated by the difficulties and delays associated with extending optical fiber to individual premises.
Through these initiatives, Reliance Jio is not only leading the digital inclusion drive across Rajasthan but also setting new benchmarks for service and innovation in the broadband industry.
