SBI customers can update their nominee online

A step-by-step guide has been provided for the customers of SBI so that they can carry out the process comfortably from home.

It is quite a risky task to visit the banks in the pandemic era where lockdown makes it all the more difficult. 

SBI has now come up with more hassle free services which the customers can avail in the comfort of their homes. 

With the lockdown in the pandemic era, people have been forced to stay indoors and have suffered a lot since there are many things which require a person to be out of the house for availing certain important facilities. Banking services are one of such important tasks for which a person normally has to move out to the bank.

Since the pandemic demands safety and henceforth people to stay indoors, the banks have added many services which can be availed online. The latest service being offered by State Bank of India (SBI) is updating the nominee in one’s account.

SBI has given a step by step guide to be followed for updating the nominee in one’s account. This facility can be availed in the comforts of home by logging on to

1-Then the users must click on “Request and Enquiries” section on the menu.

2-Select “Online Nomination”.

3-Here it is to be noted that in case of multiple accounts in one person’s name, all details will be displayed. The customers must pick the account for which they wish to register a nominee. Then click “continue”.

4-After this, enter nominee details such as name, DOB, and relationship with the account holder.

5-Click “submit”.

6-SBI customers need to enter the high security password which will be sent by SBI on the registered mobile number.

7-Click “confirm” to add the new nominee.
