SBI Hikes ATM Withdrawal Fees
Effective December 1, 2025, SBI has raised ATM withdrawal charges from other bank ATMs to Rs 23 + GST; non-financial transaction fees to Rs 11 + GST
Jan 10, 2026 – India’s largest public sector bank, the State Bank of India (SBI) has increased its ATM withdrawal charges from other banks after the free limit. This revision came into effect from December 1, 2025, and is owing to an increase in interchange fees.
As a result, for cash withdrawals from other banks’ ATMs, its Savings and Salary Account holders will now have to pay Rs 23 + GST from the earlier Rs 21 + GST. The bank has also raised non-financial transaction fees to Rs 11 + GST from Rs 10 + GST.
The bank’s Savings Account customers can continue to do five free financial and non-financial transactions at all centres (including both financial and non-financial transactions). The Salary package savings bank account holders will now have 10 monthly free transactions at all centres instead of the earlier unlimited free.
SBI debit card holders using SBI ATMs and BSBD account holders remain unaffected.
Earlier, in February 2025, the bank had increased ATM withdrawal fees to Rs 21.
