Silver Price Spikes Amid Global Unrest

On June 6, the white metal jumped by Rs 4,000 in a single day, hitting an all-time high of Rs 1,07,800 per kilogramme

June 7, 2025 - Amid escalating trade tensions between the US and China and the intensifying Russia-Ukraine war, silver prices in the international market have surged to a 13-year high, reaching $36 per ounce. As a result, yesterday, June 6, Jaipur witnessed the biggest spike of the year in silver prices. The white metal jumped by Rs 4,000 in a single day, hitting an all-time high of Rs 1,07,800 per kilogramme. Prior to this, on June 3, silver had risen by Rs 3,000 per kilogramme in a single day. 

Over the past five days, silver has delivered a 7.8% return, and 21.94% so far this year. However, on April 4, silver had also recorded its biggest single-day drop of the year, falling by Rs 4,500 per kilogramme.

Meanwhile, in early trade today, the price of silver increased Rs 100, with one kilogramme of the precious metal selling at Rs 1,07,100. Price of 24-carat gold fell Rs 10 and 10 grams of gold was trading at Rs 99,590, as per reports. The price of 22-carat gold also fell Rs 10, with 10 grams of the yellow metal selling at Rs 91,290.
