Udaipur, July 5, 2026 | Udaipur Business News: TiE Udaipur held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 4, 2026 at Bamboo Saa Resort, Udaipur, marking a significant milestone in the chapter's journey. The gathering brought together members, mentors and founders from the region's startup ecosystem to review the year gone by and welcome in new leadership.

Global Recognition for TiE Udaipur

TiE Udaipur was awarded 'Best Chapter – Category B' at the 2026 TiE Global Awards, presented during the TiE CM Retreat held in Marseille, France in July 2026. The award recognises the chapter's consistent work in building an entrepreneurship ecosystem in Udaipur and the wider Southern Rajasthan region over the past year.

Leadership Transition

The AGM also marked a change of guard at the chapter. TiE Udaipur thanked outgoing President Sandeep Bapna for his tenure and the foundation he built for the chapter, and welcomed Ankit Talesara as the new President of TiE Udaipur.

Sandeep's tenure gave TiE Udaipur the platform it stands on today — from a growing member base to a flagship summit that the region now looks forward to every year. As we hand over to Ankit, our focus stays the same: building real, on-the-ground support for founders in Udaipur and Southern Rajasthan, not just in the metros,” said Rahul Jinger, Executive Director, TiE Udaipur.

New Executive Committee (2026–27)

The following Executive Committee was announced for the term 2026–27:

  • Sandeep Bapna
  • Manish Godha
  • Aditya Shah
  • Rishabh Verdia
  • Vinay Rathi
  • Ajayraj Acharya
  • Deepak Bhansali

Programs driving the chapter's work

Beyond the AGM, TiE Udaipur's recognition rests on a set of ongoing programs built around TiE's five global pillars — Mentoring, Networking, Education, Incubation and Funding:

  • TiEcon Udaipur — the chapter's flagship annual summit. The 2026 edition, themed 'Celebrating Entrepreneurship – Bharat's Next Leap', brought together more than 600 entrepreneurs, investors and founders for keynotes, panel discussions, masterclasses and investor-connect sessions across two tracks — the Big Picture Track on AI and emerging technology, and the Execution Track on scaling and building.
  • TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) — an intensive, curriculum-based program for school students (classes 9–12), run over multiple weekend sessions, introducing young minds to entrepreneurship through hands-on solution-building.
  • TiE U — a program for college and university students that builds a start-up ecosystem on campuses through student ambassadors and structured engagement with mentors and industry partners.
  • TiE Women — supporting women founders through chapter-level mentoring and a pathway into TiE's global pitch and grant program.
  • TiE Angels and mentoring circles — connecting early-stage founders in Udaipur with investors and experienced entrepreneurs for funding access and hands-on guidance.

Rahul Jinger added: “Our job is to close the gap that founders outside the metros usually face — access to capital, mentors and networks. Every program we run, from TYE in schools to TiEcon on the big stage, is built to do exactly that.”
