Airport Authority of India has allotted space at Udaipur airport for opening of ‘Tribes India’ outlets. Besides Udaipur, the outlets will also come up at 10 other airports in the country.

Ministry of Tribal Affairs said that presence at airports will provide and opportunity to promote “Tribes India” as a brand among its target customers and an opportunity to market tribal products.

Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED) has a 89 outlets across the country with 42 as its own retail outlet, 33 on consignment model and 14 franchisee.

Besides Udaipur, TRIFED has been offered space at Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Dehradun, Varanasi, Pune, Goa, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Amritsar and Gangtok airports.
