It was when Hathipol, one of the oldest shopping zone and residential colony of the Walled City of Udaipur had been devoid of Banks or Banking medium for quite some time, that The Udaipur Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd took initiative and became the first banking institution to setup a branch at Hathipol.  UUCB branch at Pannadhay Marg that has been the support for maximum businesses and residences in the area.

Once again, The Udaipur Urban Cooperative Bank has taken the initiative and have set up the first ATM for Hathipol, its second ATM in Udaipur being inaugurated at Arvana – The Shopping Destination.

At 10:30am today morning, the ATM was inaugurated in the presence of Senior Executives and members of the Board of Directors of The Udaipur Urban Cooperative Bank.

The inauguration was done by Secretary, Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat, Hibtullah Attari, in the presence of the Banks executives, Board of Directors and staff of the Bank, along with invitees to the event and senior management from Arvana and with the blessing of Mulla Peer Ali.

UUCB launched its ATM service earlier this year, when their first ATM was inaugurated at Bohrawadi on January 14.  Hibutallah Attari, in his address to the invitees and guests, expressed pride that the initiative of the Progressive Dawoodi Bohra community in the 70s, by setting up a Cooperative Bank, has bore fruit for the region and the UUCB has become one of the most reputed Cooperative Banks in the country.  When the idea of a cooperative Bank was conceived and after setting up the first branch in a small room, the founding members had gone from shop to shop and home to home to invite membership and participation to assure growth and development of the Bank.

Ashiq Hussain Navania, Chairman of the UUCB proudly mentioned that the Bank operates 13 branches in Udaipur and Rajsamand district.  He also announced to the members and shareholders of the Bank present at the occasion, that the final testing stages for Net Banking are in place and that very soon, the UUCB will be providing Net Banking services to their account holders.  Shabbir Hussain Paliwala of Arvana added that Arvana welcomes UUCB and is committed to providing room for all services to its patrons.  Notably, the first Sahakari Bhandar in the area was inaugurated at Arvana, earlier this month.
