Bank honoured for achieving over Rs 500 crore business for five straight years; for distributing 50% dividends
Udaipur, December 14, 2024 - The Udaipur Urban Co-operative Bank (UUCB) has received an award for achieving more than Rs 500 crore in business for five consecutive financial years and distributing 50% dividends. This recognition was bestowed on the bank at the Multi-State Cooperative Banking Summit and Awards 2024 on December 12.
The event had jointly been organised by the Rajasthan Urban Co-operative Banks Federation Ltd and Krest Infomedia on the theme Creating Values Through Technology in Jaipur. More than 200 bank representatives and 14 companies from various sectors participated in the summit by setting up stalls to showcase their products.
The award to UUCB was received on behalf of the bank by chairman Tauseef Hussain. Others present were directors Anees DM and Sabiha Lukmani, CEO Samina Banu Mehmuda, IT manager Naseem Rassawala and branch manager Nazima Ali.
On the occasion, the CEO expressed her gratitude to all depositors, customers, well-wishers and members for their unwavering trust in the bank.
During this one-day event, important panel discussions were held on key topics and various companies presented their innovations and services. At the end of the event, awards were presented to banks in Rajasthan for their outstanding work in 2023-24 across various criteria.
The Chief Guest at the programme was Laxmi Dass, president of the National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks and Credit Societies Ltd (NAFCUB). Also present were directors O.P. Sharma and Alka Shrivastava, CEO Yogesh Sharma, NAFCUB director and president of the Rajasthan Urban Co-operative Banks Federation Ltd Mohan Parashar, founder of Krest Infomedia Naveen Gautam, executive director of Sarvatra Technologies Sumit Phadnis and CEO of Rajasthan Federation ML Sharma.
On the day before the summit, Prabhat Chaturvedi, CEO of the National Urban Co-operative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC), which is an umbrella organisation for urban co-operative banks, spoke about the need for such a body and its benefits. NAFCUB president encouraged all banks to become members of this organisation and also urged them to strengthen National and State-level federations.
