The mission initiated by Vedanta Khushi is now going to influence lives of more than five thousand girl students of Tamil Nadu.

Th education of these girls who are from around 70 villages in Thoothukudi and Ottapidaram are now backed by Sterlite Industries (SIIL) of Vedanta Group.

“The sole objective of the project is to give quality education to poor and deprived children; only girls this time, in a sustainable environment,” says Col. Krishnan Sriniwasan of SIIL, Tamil Nadu in an article published on Khushi’s blog.

Classes are conducted by 160 tutors and all students have been provided school bags, stationery, notebooks, etc as a part of the academic support.
