India’s 1st online custom furniture store, Woodenstreet.com was ranked among 6 most innovative startups at Techspark 2015 held on 9th October. In the 6th edition held at Jaipur, around 100+ startups attended the event. 

Wooden Street was entitled to present at TechSparks among the top 6 most innovative startups for the evening. WoodenStreet.com shared the platform as a speaker with Seva Services, Gurupdate, AlphaFront, FaidaOnline, & LinkYou.

Woodenstreet.com is co-founded by Lokendra Ranawat, Dinesh Pratap, Virendra & Vikas Baheti. “Customers are our priority & turning their dream furniture to a seamless reality is what we strive for. Within three months of launch, the venture has experienced tremendous growth in traction. What makes the venture unique is the process where customers are completely involved for customizing, be it the wood type, size, upholstery or the finish.

The process starts when a user shares his/her idea and requirements via website, email or WhatsApp. In the next step, Woodenstreet.com plugs-in a design expert who makes the idea into workable furniture design, along with 3D design. The final step is when a customer orders the product and it gets delivered at customer’s premises free of cost.

Woodenstreet.com is creating an embracing unique model to help busy professionals and homemakers to find a perfect fit for every space without considering the little time in hand to visit a physical store.

Wooden Street currently accommodates a dedicated team of 30+ resources operating from multiple offices located at Udaipur, Jaipur and Jodhpur overlooking activities such as designing, prototyping, sourcing, order management and sales with a dedicated sampling unit.

Buoyed by the high traffic, Woodenstreet.com is aiming to triple its revenue by next quarter. The team will focus on improving processes, logistics and product range. In order to understand the initial challenges, the venture opted for bootstrapping. However, confident by the success it is witnessing, the firm is looking to expand rapidly by securing a seed funding in coming 6 months.
