21 year old Shivani, architect daughter of Meena Jain from Savina, lost her life in a road mishap in Dubai in 2016. Shivani had gone to Dubai to follow her dreams. After the examination of the last semester of her first year on 11th May 2016, she and her friends were overrun by a truck in Dubai.
Her mother has given 5 lakhs for ambulance to the Adhar foundation in her daughter’s memory hoping that the lives of people facing road accidents will now be saved. Along with this, she has also contributed in completing a movie in memory of her loving daughter as Shivani had enacted in this movie in 2012 with her schoolmates.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Leelavati Kothari, a teacher from Bhupalpura higher secondary School, constructed a classroom in memory of her late husband Nirmal, at the time of her retirement from the school services. She spent Rs. 5 Lakh towards this remarkable work. Leelavati Kothari retired from the school on Sunday and declared that she will be teaching in the same school even now without taking any fees from the students.
Leelavati said that there was no proper classroom for the students in school. Since her demand for a classroom went unheard of, she decided to take up the task on her own shoulders. Her daughter Paridhi and son Nilesh supported her in this humanitarian task. School’s Vice-principal Sunita Borival also said that the entire management had supported Leelavati’s views of making a classroom in the school at her own expense.
