Animal Aid Unlimited, an NGO working for animal rescue in Udaipur performed their first Rumenotomy Surgery on a bull and removed 20 kg of plastic from his stomach.
The pint-sized bull, that they named – Tingu was found by Animal Aid volunteers suffering from running nose and cough on February 4th. Volunteers were suspicious about his huge belly and later it was concluded that the bull was in immense pain from the plastic collected in his stomach.
As per the update by Animal Aid, “We recently rescued Tingu, living off garbage his whole life. His stomach was enormous and we knew it was full of plastic. He was sick and with so much plastic trapped in his stomach we didn’t think he had long to live. So we made the decision to perform our very first rumenotomy surgery.”
Nearly 20 Kg of plastic was removed from Bull’s stomach whilst the surgery. Currently, Tingu is at Animal Aid’s shelter receiving care and affection from the volunteers who claim that “He is the most cutest guy we’ve seen in a while!”
