For Udaipurites, the lakes are a vast place for disposing off wastes and garbage. Only if each citizen becomes alert enough to stop this practice, the city, known in the world as Lakecity will outshine many other cities in terms of cleanliness.

Founder of Jheel Hiteshi Nagrik Manch, Haji Sardar Mohammad said this during the 7-day Hanuman Jayanti Awareness Event in which Shramdaan was organized at Chandpol Bridge that went around for 2 hours on the 5th day.

In this initiative, the lake conservators extracted heaps of plastic bags, liquor bottles, aqua weed, water grass and ritual stuff. Founder Kamlendra Singh of Bajrang Sena Mewar, organization behind the 7-day event said that with the workers of Jheel Hiteshi Nagrik Manch, the members of Sena will also collaborate to clean the lakes twice in a month.

On this occasion, several people came forward in this noble cause including Virendra Singh Boheda, Noor Mohammad, Narendra Singh Shekhawat, Dilip Singh Pahalwan, Shankar Lal Mali, Karnaveer Singh Rathore, Ghanshyam Singh Bhinder and Akash Soni etc.
