Udaipur is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful destinations across the world. But, the visitors and even citizens of Udaipur on a lot of occasions show utter apathy towards this natural gift and leave behind a lot of garbage at the tourist destinations, especially the lakes.

The team at Big Bazaar, under the campaign of “Aap ki Seva Mein”, today undertook the exercise of cleaning the promenade at Lake Badi.  The entire team right from the senior members to the junior staff rolled up their sleeves and had no shame in picking up the broom and cleaning up the mess.

It may be noted that this was the third such activity by the team at Big Bazaar in recent times after their efforts at cleaning up the water hyacinth at Fateh Sagar and Swaroop Sagar lakes.

UT view: It feels good to read when some organization or corporate comes up and conducts a cleanliness drive at our lakes.  What feels sorry is that there is a need to conduct these drives due to the utter disrespect that we, as citizens of Udaipur, show to our gifted destinations.  Kudos and Shame!
