Almost 50 units of blood were donated in a social initiative taken by Big Bazaar. The blood donation camp was held over two days (1-2 Dec) in association with Saral Blood Bank and HDFC Bank. The program was conducted under the banner ‘Aapki Seva Mein’ – CSR branch of Big Bazaar, one of the largest retail chains in India.

Deepak Sharma, marketing official of the store said that before starting blood donation camp, Big Bazaar staff rallied in the city to spread awareness amongst people about importance of blood donation.

Resultantly, many staff members and customers of Big Bazaar participated in the blood donation. Around 50 customers underwent free health check-up in the health camp.

Over a dozen staff members of Big Bazaar, including the marketing head Deepak Sharma and store manager Anuj Singh donated blood. Big Bazaar extended gratitude to all those who participated in this noble cause and also thanked Saral Blood Bank and HDFC Bank for their cooperation.
