The city observed Bird Freedom Day at Gulab Bagh on the theme of ‘Hun Surakshit Main Aasman Mein, Mujhe Azadi Mein Rehne Do.’

 

Bird Freedom Day observed at Gulab Bagh

The city observed Bird Freedom Day at Gulab Bagh on the theme of ‘Hun Surakshit Main Aasman Mein, Mujhe Azadi Mein Rehne Do.’ The event was organized collaboratively by Forest Department along with Nature Club of Rajasthan and Peoples for Animal NGO.

More than 220 school students participated in poster making and quiz competition during the event managed by Lions Club and Bharat Vikas Parishad ‘Subhash.’ The chief guest was Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari who told students about the importance of birds in maintaining ecological balance and contribution.

The winners of the competition were presented eco-pencils made of waste material and all were appealed to use these pencils instead of wooden ones to help save trees.

Program coordinator Ashwini Bagga informed that the students of various schools including Jeevan Jyoti Children’s House, Mahila Mandal Girls’ House, St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, St. Anthony’s Sr. Sec. School, Ankit Public Sr. Sec. School, St. Paul’s School, Adarsh Government Girls’ School, and Ambamata School participated.
