"Child violence will remain indomitable in our society until we will not stand up and speak against it", said Sulagna Roy, UNICEF Child Specialist while addressing the students at a program at Vigyan Samiti today.

“Child violence will remain indomitable in our society until we will not stand up and speak against it”, said Sulagna Roy, UNICEF Child Specialist while addressing the students at a program at Vigyan Samiti today.

Roy said that child violence is a serious issue and it needs thought process on priority.

The state level campaign started today in Udaipur with the support of Gayatri Seva Sansthan, Udaipur in joint association with Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Plan India, Save The Children and UNICEF.

Students of The Study, Guru Nanak, BN Public School, Govt. Schools and children staying in Sukher Orphanage were present in the program.

Campaign against Child Violence begins

Students were taught about legal facets and ways to act against any violence. Govind Beniwal of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights informed about the misconception of child gender based violence and also informed about PASCO Act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012).

Shailendra Pandya, associate director of Gayatri Seva Sansthan informed students about Child Line – 1098 and informed about government’s beneficiary programs for children.
