Today more than 200 million children in India cannot read because either they don’t have enough resources or they don’t have that passion or love for reading. Taking this as a challenge, Mango Sense, a technology company has taken an initiative to promote reading by launching a 50 day nationwide campaign wherein they are inviting each and everyone to read a story or a book with any kid they come across.
Astha Sansthan will be supporting Mango Sense in running this campaign in Udaipur. The campaign will start on 1st June and the initiative aims to reach out to 20000 kids this year nationwide.
200 odd people have already volunteered nationwide for storytelling. You can also join these HEROES by volunteering for the programme. The organizers are looking for more Heroes/ sponsors and partners who can help them to reach their target of 20000 kids. To support the cause you can register at http://www.mangot20.org/register.html
Some of the known children book authors and story tellers like Vinita Zutshi, Sonja Chandrachud, Vaishali Shroff and many more have also shown their support.
Rise Udaipur…read a story…make someone’s day…..become a HERO
