Udaipur’s veteran Dr. P.C Jain awarded with National Award from Indian Medical Association visited Houston to discuss with Mark Illian the methods of rain water harvesting.

Mark informed that Houston receives 150 cm rainfall which is saved by people through various means. He informed about slow sand filter, fast sand filter, florid filter, arsenic filter and biological filter. Mark commended the Devas Water Filter of Udaipur.

Mark and Dr. Jain examined the rain water harvesting system implanted at a house that Mark had himself installed. Dr. Manju Jain and Dr. Pritesh Jain both had joined in the discussion.

According to Dr. P.C Jain, Udaipur gets more or less 50 cm rainfall whereas Houston receives 150 cm.  When Houston makes more effort to save the rainwater, Udaipur also needs to emphasis on harvesting water at every level. In fact, Nagar Nigam, Nagar Parishad and Government should motivate rain water harvesting.
