Sukoon and Shikshantar have been organising a Footpath library at Fatehsagar Pal every Friday from 6pm to 8pm. The library is called Dariyadil Footpath library and is organised near Taya Palace on the Fatehsagar promenade.

The organisers say that the books in the library come as gifts from patrons and are also given out free of cost by the library. The borrowers only have to make a promise to gift the book to someone else once they have finished reading the book.

Sukoon, based out of Kharol Colony, has been receiving book, clothes, electrical and electronic equipment, furniture, jewellery, cycles etc over the last couple of years and have also been giving these out free of charge to the ones who need it.  The team said that people in need of any item may call their helpline at 9828073690. By undertaking such an exercise, they say that the giver, the taker and the facilitator get a sense of a positive experience.

Sukoon founder, Sampat Bapna, thanked all the volunteers for their continued support and called upon citizens to actively participate in this venture.
