Cleanliness drive at Fatehsagar on 24th Dec 9:30AM

Radio City cleanliness campaign City ki Safai aims to motivate residents of Udaipur to keep their surroundings as well as public places neat and clean. With the perspective, the 91.1 Radio City team has initiated the City ki Safai campaign.

Over the last two days, subsequent to the inauguration of the campaign by Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, the team, along with the help of volunteers from different organisations, has cleaned public areas of the city.

As per information provided by Ajay Singh of Radio City Udaipur, tomorrow, i.e Sunday, the Radio City team will gather at Fatehsagar to clean the area and motivate people to do the same in and around their residences and work place.

Radio City will be supported by members of Round Table India. A street play has also been planned during the effort. 9:30am in winters is a pleasant time to be at Fatehsagar, with positive evergy all round. Residents of Udaipur are welcome to visit Fatehsagar so as to motivate the team in their efforts.

Earlier, Radio City, along with members from Jain Social group successfully attempted cleaning the filth filled area around Chetak Bus Stand and Mohta Park. The municipality has supported them by providing cleaning equipment and a garbage truck.

Commissioner UMC Siddharth Sihag and Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar have also appreciated the cleanliness campaign initiated by Radio City. They, in their message on Radio City, have appealed to the residents of the city in joining hands with this campaing in large numbers across the city, aiming to clean the city of lakes.

To be noted, Udaipur, being one of the premier tourist destinations, has obtained a sad 310 place in the India wide ranking survey conducted a few months back. Though the municipality is taking the initiative and putting in efforts and innovative initiatives in improving the cleanliness quotient of the city, it is more upto the residents of the city to ensure that the city keeps neat and clean.

Initiative and a positive approach by the residents will go a long way in ensuring that the visitors and tourists to this lovely city are motivated and support the cleanliness approach, especially on the tourist destinations that we are so proud of.  The cleanliness ranking for Udaipur needs to improve to help the city retain its beauty quotient.
