Rajasthan State Women Commission Chairperson, Lad Kumari Jain visited Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University today to attend a seminar on the issue of gender equality which was organized under the aegis of Department of Political Science and Civil Administration.

Jain was invited as a Chief Guest of the seminar which discussed several women related issues concerning its safety, security and career.

In the seminar, Jain emphasized on inducting gender equality among students in an early age and shared that Women Commission has already sent a proposal demanding guidance from UGC, Bar Council and agencies that coordinate with course materials.

“Students from Class 1 to college level should learn about gender impartiality. Women Commission has itself initiated to put forth the new system,” says Jain who is in Udaipur since yesterday.

While talking on the sensitive issue of law for women’s security, Lad Kumari Jain said, “There are laws for the safety and security of women, but they should be implemented strictly and for that, women should take the initiative.”

S.S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor of the University stressed on the necessity of education among females. “Education helps in making us aware and also gives us knowledge of expressing. There have been several cases of crime against women which came in front of the world by those women victims who were educated and knew how to express their anguish”, said Sarandevot.
