Udaipur’s NGO MaitriManthan put in the fight against child marriage which has been carried out in the villages of Rajasthan during the festival of Akshay Tritiya.

Under the guidance of Monika Vaishnav, the NGO adopted the village Rishabhdeo Fala Bilkha and organized motivating meetings, and activities against the social practice prevailing in the village.

With the help of the integrated program in Rishabhdeo, no child marriage is conducted in the village and one person who tried to continue with the practice was convinced and persuaded by the other villagers to stop the marriage of the child.
