Nanhe Haath Kalam ke Saath Moves Forward
On the 9th day of ‘Nanhe Haath Kalam ke Saath’, a social movement towards spreading awareness against child labor and the importance of education in a child’s life, the organizers conducted an event at the Kevda Kala Gram Panchayat.
On the 9th day of ‘Nanhe Haath Kalam ke Saath’, a social movement towards spreading awareness against child labor and the importance of education in a child’s life, the organizers conducted an event at the Kevda Kala Gram Panchayat.
The movement is an effort by the Gayatri Sewa Sansthan, Udaipur in association with the State Government and UNICEF.
To spread the noble notion, a puppet show and drama were presented for the people. The locals also spoke on the importance of education and the unethicality of Child Labor.
Shailendra Pandya, Assistant District Project Manager, Child Protection Project elaborated on the related projects initiated in the area. He also said, “I urge all the villagers to send their children to schools.”
An American student, Priyam Das who is researching on Child Protection also interacted with the children and their parents.
By the end of the program, five children filled out their school forms and seven enrolled themselves in the Palanhaar Project. Three aged people and three widowers also filled their pension forms in the program.
The event held today was attended by Dalibai Meena, Sarpanch of the area, and members of the Gayatri Sewa Sansthan along with many public representatives of the state. It was hosted by Praveen Kumar Paneri.
