'Safe Women-Safe Udaipur' Night Run; 200 Participate

Udaipur women run for safety in first night marathon led by Yashwant Foundation and Global Publication

Udaipur, June 16, 2025 - A 2-km Safe Women-Safe Udaipur night run was organised by Kanishka Shrimali of Yashwant Foundation and Ravi Malhotra, director of Global Publication. The purpose behind this event, for the first time in the city, was to give out the message that women in Udaipur are safe, not only during the day but also at night. The run was held from Mahakaleshwar Temple to Rajiv Gandhi Park.

There were more than 200 online registrations in which women between the ages of 15  to 65 years participated. In the age group of 15 to 30, Vidya Rajput stood first, Harshita was second and Bhagwanti third. In the age category of 31 to 65, Vineeta stood first, Kalpana second and Neetu Sharma third. Medals and certificates were awarded to winners and all the participants.

Special support to the event was provided by Arth Diagnostic Group, Jain Jagruti Centre Ladies Wing, Decathalon, Anushka Academy, Sanjeevani Natural Care, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital and many others. It was managed by Glory Event. The women bouncers of Vinayak Security and the police administration also supported the run.

According to Malhotra, the run was flagged off from Mahakaleshwar Temple premises by former State Minister Jagdish Raj Shrimali, Akash Bagdi, Dr Deepa Singh, Mukesh Madhwani, Sushila Mehta, Kusum Bhansali, Rajiv Surana, Khushboo Malviya, Preeti Dembla and Youth Congress President Harshvardhan Singh.
