Pukaar, a youth group organization quite known for working on preserving biodiversity and transforming the parks of the city started the mission ‘Maanavak Haritima 2016’ with students at the Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bhilwada (Lakhawali).
Bhuvnesh Ojha, founder emphasized on the core fundamentals behind Maanavak Haritima, which is connecting youth and students to the biodiversity. It is interesting to know that all the expenses are being carried by the youth themselves by saving their pocket money.
During the event, enthusiastic students and teachers not only planted saplings of various species i.e Neem, Arjun, Baheda, Kaner, Mahuaa, Karanj etc. & locally available plants but also took oath to hold ‘One plant by two students’ based ownership of care taking of saplings.
Institutional head at the school explained to the students the importance of biodiversity, and environment conservation. He added that due to heavy exploitation of natural resources and cutting of trees, today we are witnessing the imbalance in the ecosystem. To preserve the same is our responsibility.
Pukaar members Ajay Singh, Vinayak Wadhwani, Vishal Sharma, Bhini Jain, Divya Ranawat, Harshwardhan as well as school faculty Payal, Kishanlal and Bindaprasad contributed their efforts for Manavak Haritima.
