Representatives of social service organizations and employees of a private hotel with locals of the area contributed in the lake cleaning campaign today at Naga Nagari.

Organizations including Jheel Hiteshi Nagrik Manch, KritiSeva Samiti, Hotel Leela Palace, Lokjan Seva Samiti, Paryavaran Shiksha Samiti and Nari Uthan Sansthan took part in the cleaning of water hyacinth and garbage dumped in the lake.

Imam of the Masjid, Imam Hafiz Naeem Akhtar said, “Lakes and the surrounding areas should be kept clean.” He appealed to local residents to stop throwing garbage in the lake.
