Solar Home Systems distributed to 40 students of Rajasthan

Boond Foundation celebrated Independence Day yesterday at Seva Mandir, Kotra Block Office. Under their unique idea of providing scholarship to students of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, 40 students of Rajasthan have been benefitted.

Boond Foundation celebrated Independence Day yesterday at Seva Mandir, Kotra Block Office.  Under their unique idea of providing scholarship to students of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, 40 students of Rajasthan have been benefitted.

Scholarships, which was not in the form of cash, but Solar Home System (Lamps + Battery Panel) was distributed to 40 students of different schools from Kotra Block.  Seva Mandir helped in listing the names of who should be given the scholarships, which were based on the performance of students and attendance.

It was a joint collaboration between Boond Foundation and Seva Mandir where Boond Foundation promised to facilitate 250 Solar Home Systems (worth Rs. 4,600 each) to students of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Priyanka Singh, CEO, Seva Mandir spoke about how Solar Energy will be a big help for the kids and how Seva Mandir acts as a channel between people equipped with technology like Boond Foundation and people at grass root levels.

Rustam Sengupta, CEO, Boond said, “When we thought about doing something for students on this Independence Day, we had scholarships in our mind in the form of Solar Home Systems which would help the students have a hassle free study duration without any interruption because of ill power supply; that is the reason we are here”.

On the occasion, members of Boond, Seva Mandir, students and parents were present where the Solar Home Systems were distributed and Boond certificates were given to the students.

Boond Foundation is also having an ongoing project on Women’s Personal Market Place where you can also support their social initiative by voting at the United Nations Women Competition.
