The program aims to improve the nutritional status of 0-6 year olds in 253 Anganwadi centers in 32 Panchayats of Shahabad and Kishanganj Block of Baran District.
This program aims to strengthen the child development services of Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS) and provisions under the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, to prevent and manage malnutrition and also treat the cases of severe malnutrition.
The program will sustain these activities through capacity building of all grass root functionaries of ICDS and Health department, and by creating awareness in the community and local self-governance structures, thereby encouraging them to take ownership in the health and nutrition programs in the region.
