Students Spread Anti-Drug Abuse Movement
An “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking 2012” was marked in Udaipur with a huge procession led by various students groups, NGOs and officials from the city administration. The aim was to curb the younger generation from plunging into the death-well of drugs.

Hundreds of students from Nursing Colleges and Schools came out holding slogans against drug addiction; the procession started from Town Hall and passed through various areas of the city.
Employees of Zila Parishad and other district administrative bodies were also involved in the rally, which ended at Town Hall and was followed by a mass gathering. Sajjan Katara, prominent Congress leader in her address to the people said that the State Government is executing various plans and schemes to protect youth from getting exposed to illicit drug trading and abuse.
“The most important role is played by the individual who understand and strongly believes that consumption of drugs is dangerous to both their families and themselves”, said Katara.
