Walk for Sight campaign launched
To encourage eye donation amongst udaipurites, Alakh Nayan Mandir in association with Eye Bank initiated a campaign ‘Walk for Sight’ today at Fateh Sagar. Several school students and social workers took part in the walk which began from Moti Magri gate and ended at Neemuch Mata gate.
To encourage eye donation amongst udaipurites, Alakh Nayan Mandir in association with Eye Bank initiated a campaign ‘Walk for Sight’ today at Fateh Sagar. Several school students and social workers took part in the walk which began from Moti Magri gate and ended at Neemuch Mata gate.
Students of Pragya Chakshu Blind School, Saraswati Niketan and Sunbeam School took part in the campaign. The walk was flagged off by Eye Bank Society’s Mr. Sakhlecha, Prem Mehta, Dr. B.L Baser with Dr. Laxman Singh Jhala, Dr. Laxmi Jhala and Meenakshi Chundawat from Alakh Nayan Mandir.
Meenakshi Chundawat informed that every year Government of India organizes Eye Donation Awareness campaign from 25th August till 8th September and all the programs are organized by Health Ministry and National Blindness Control Program.
Many other programs on school level were also held like Rangoli Competition at Sunbeam School, Drawing Competition at St. Anthony’s School and Signature Campaign at MMPS.
