Newborn specialist Dr. Sunil Jhangid informed that Rajesh Lohar’s wife Geeta gave birth to twins on 11 June through cesarean after IVF technique. One of the girls weighed 1275 gm while the other weighed only 607 gm. The new born was immediately shifted to the hospital.
Dr. Sunil Jhangid, neonatologist Dr. Mani Bhatnagar and trained team of staff took care of the baby. She was kept under ventilator and medicine was poured in her lungs for her to breathe properly. There has been no report in the state where a baby so light had been saved.
Dr. Jhangid informed that despite treatment, the success rate is only 20-30% and only 5-10% babies live with slow brain development.
