RTO Udaipur has planned a Mission Meera initiative wherein the RTO will train female drivers who will be escorting Female Tourists for their sight seeing tours.

These female drivers will also be provided taxis by the RTO, under the name MEERA TAXI for transporting women from home to office and back.

This initiative was launched in a Seminar at RTO during the the Road Safety Drive (Sadak Suraksha Jagruti Abhiyaan) that began on Monday, 28 September.

As per ML Ravat, RTO, this initiative will ensure that female tourists feel more secure and at ease while travelling in and around Udaipur.

Training to 27 deserving female candidates will be provided by the Tempo Drivers Association and interested women may give their names to Durga Naval and Manju Khatri at RTO.
