World Environment Day (WED) was celebrated at Wonder Cement Plant at Nimbahera. S M Joshi, President (Works) was Chief Guest of the function. He requested all participants to make sincere efforts for the protection of environment. 

Kezar Shah, GM (Environment) in his welcome address informed that the theme of this year’s WED given by UNO is Small Island Development States (SIDS). He informed that small islands all over the world would be under submergence by rising sea level due to global warming and therefore this theme was chosen by UNO.

Environmental oath was given by P. H. Choudhary, Sr. VP. Prize distribution ceremony was also held where winners of Poster making, Essay & Poem competition were awarded by Mr. Joshi. Tree saplings were planted by employees in the mine area.

The program was organized & conducted by Sudhir Sharma & Narendar Bhatt of Environment department.
