Youth attracts Crowd by their Flash Mob Techniques
It surprises many evening walkers and people who love to spend their weekend at Fateh Sagar paal to see a group of youth suddenly coming there and reading books in a loud voice, backed by two musicians on flute and guitar.
It surprises many evening walkers and people who love to spend their weekend at Fateh Sagar paal to see a group of youth suddenly coming there and reading books in a loud voice, backed by two musicians on flute and guitar. This strange looking scene is carried well as a Flash Mob by the arm of Banyan Roots who are encouraging social interactions by organizing several flash mob events.
Book Reading develops knowledge and nurtures thought process to open various perspectives. With this aim, the group comprising of both students and professionals are now regularly seen at Fateh Sagar Pal every Sunday.
The group has also initiated the Free Hug Campaign and Chai-Charcha at Lake Side. Now, they are promoting book reading with their own eye-catching way.
Headed by Jayesh Mohta, co-founder of Banyan Roots, the group also has a foreign intern Marie Saito from Japan who is doing her intern from Shikshantar and loves to play flute. Marie is accompanied with Vineet Chobisa, B-tech engineer and passionate guitarist.
While Marie and Vineet play music, the other group members Harshil Sankhla, Ayush Devpura, Rizwan Sahib and Tushar read paragraphs from their books one-by-one and get the background music by their friends to make the story more interesting.
One of the group members Ayush Devpura says, “We get 8-10 books of any genre and go to paal’s chatri and start our event, this is going on for last 4 Sundays”
The first Flash Mob group of the city has introduced Free Hugs to increase harmony and friendship between everyone they meet including strangers, their tea-time event Chai-Charca was a great way to talk on any sincere issue with people they invite at Lake.
Many specific interest groups of Musicians and Photographers are also connected with Banyan Roots.
