Bhil Community Marked Birth Anniversary of Rana Punja
Hundreds of Bhil men marched through Moti Magri to celebrate the birth anniversary of Rana Punja Bhil, the Chieftain of Bhil tribe who extensively contributed in freedom of Mewar and remembered as one of the closest associate of Maharana Pratap.

Bhil Samaj Vikas Samiti, a social organization, conducted a mass procession today which started from Mohta Park and passed through Chetak Circle, Shiksha Bhawan and concluded at the statue of Rana Punja located at Moti Magri.
Khemraj Kharadi, President of Vikas Samiti, said that the procession consisted of various staged sequences and some of the followers were dressed in various attires resembling Rana Punja Bhil.
“It was our heartily tribute to Rana Punja, we visited the statue and offered flowers and garlanded before conducting Aarti” said Kharadi.
Community people from nearby areas like Dungerpur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Sirohi, Baran, Bundi and Kota participated in this event.
