Pichola 2011-12, the Annual Function of the Bhopal Nobles PG College commenced today, 18^th January 2012 at the B.N. College campus.

The event was inaugurated by the Principal of B.N. PG College, Vikram Singh Shaktawat at 12 pm.

Students participated in the event with a very high level of enthusiasm. Various events, viz. Fancy Dress competition; singing competitions; dance competitions; and the much awaited Ms. Zenith competition took place till early evening.

The Chief Guest of the event, Maharana Kunwar, son of His Highness Maharana Mahendra Singhji Mewar arrived to a warm reception.

Towards evening, after the arrival of the Chief Guest, the formal Oath Ceremony of the Student Union took place in the presence of His Highness Maharaja Kunwar.

This was followed by the reading out of the Annual Report for the year 2010-2011 by the Principal, Vikram Singh Shaktawat and a speech by the Maharaja Kunwar Sb. Maharaja Kunwar distributed prizes to University rank holders and college rank holders for the 2010-11 academic session.

The first session was highlighted by the cultural program, which saw exceptional performances by the students in the fancy dress competition, group dance (western), folk dance (solo and group), singing (solo, duet and group) which included film songs as well as ghazals, qawwali, sufi, etc.

Ms. Zenith competition was also held today.

The winners of the competitions held were as follows:

Fancy dress: 1st place to Rohit Sharma (Maharana Pratap); 2nd place to Jayesh Lakhara (Ardhnaageshwar)

Western Dance Group: 1st place to Tarun and group; 2nd place to Mayank Soni and group.

Folk Dance group: 1st place to Jayesh/Amar Singh and group (Gavri dance); 2nd place to Mayank and group (Gopala Gopala); 3rd place to Vishal and group (Nagada Baja).

Folk Dance Solo: 1st place to Lakharika Chauhan; 2nd place to Mayank Soni.

Semi Classical Solo: 1st place to Deepika Singh; 2nd place to Vishal Vani

The Ms. Zenith title was captured by Ms. Lochan Sharma.

The Mr. Zenith competition will also be held tomorrow along with the remaining cultural events.
