Bohra Community celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr
Marking the end of the Holy Ramadan month, the auspicious festival of Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated by the Dawoodi Bohra community today with bliss and delight. Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the main festivals of the community.
Marking the end of the Holy Ramadan month, the auspicious festival of Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated by the Dawoodi Bohra community today with bliss and delight. Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the main festivals of the community.
The day started with offering Namaz (Khutbah) after the dawn, just before sunrise. Then everyone from the community was seen visiting relatives and friends with the greetings of – Eid Mubarak. Kids were delighted to get Eidi and everyone was seen all dressed up to celebrated the opportune day.
Eid-Ul-Fitr is celebrated after the fasting month of Ramadan which is the ninth month of the Muslim year, on the very first day of the Shavval month of the Hijri year (Muslim year).
Muslim community might be celebrating Eid on either Monday or Tuesday, depending on the sight of the crescent moon.
