City prepares for Ram Revadi on Dev Julni Ekadasi

Preparations of Dev Julni Ekadasi have begun in various temples of Udaipur. A grand procession known as Ram Revadi will be organized tomorrow on 5th Sept.
As per the information provided by Pandit Ramgopal, priest at Jagdish Temple, “The rituals will start from giving holy bath to the Lord and dressing the idol with ornaments and attires.”
In afternoon, the idol of Lord Krishna will be carried out in the form of procession to Pichola Lake. After holy bath, Pooja and Arti will be carried out. At last, the statue will be kept in the temple according to the traditions.
Pandit Ramgopal informed, “Many people give voluntary contribution in preparing Ram Revadi which is used to take the Lord for holy bath.”
Local handicraft vendors and artists were seen preparing Ram Revadi at Jagdish Chowk area today.
“Kamal Chouhan of Chaouhan Handicraft contributes in designing, polishing and is making Ram Revadi from nearly two decades,” informed Pandit Ramgopal.
