Chanting religious hymns and devotional songs, scores of devotees flocked to the lakes today holding Maa Duga’s gorgeously adorned idols for Visarjan. The custom marked end of the 10 days of Navratra. Various mandals, communities and groups of people reached Pichola in the form of procession. Devotees including men and women were seen singing and dancing on the rhythms of devotional songs. Hundreds of volunteers, mostly local residents and shopkeepers of Sutharwada under the banner of Sutharwada Mitra Mandal organized the rituals of havan and yagya. Thereafter, the idol of Goddess was installed on a decorated vehicle and took in the form of a procession.
