Krishna Janmashtami celebration continued today in the temples of the city with various customary activities and rituals. One of the most interesting rituals performed every year at Jagdish Temple is Dhoda Dhodi.

The ritual traces its roots to thousands years ago when professional dancers used to sing and dance to congratulate family on a newly born child. On the birth of Lord Krishna, special hymns and dance blended with high devotion is performed by dancers.
